Welcome to Murrii Quu Couture, based in the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef at Cairns, Far North Queensland.  I am a Proud Aboriginal Woman, a direct descendant of the Gunggari, Pitta-Pitta, Bindal and Quandamooka People.  Through my career journey I have developed a keen eye for detail.  This skillset, and my joy of artistic creation, has led me to creating original pieces from reclaimed fabric and materials.  Becoming a fashion designer seamlessly occured after being invited to enter this exciting industry,  following a modelling assignment one of my dear sisters informed me about.   The synergy of my career as a professional artist and my lifetime learnings of design from my Mother and Grandmother as young child onwards was a welcoming transition.   

My designs are inspired from materials of pre-loved garments, recreated and meshed to evolve into works of art, expressing feminity and passion.  I don't follow trends, my designs are of my own aesthetic perspectives. My goal is to create an exclusive and unique black gown for each wearer to freely express who they are at the core, drawing on their independent persona to capture their completeness through fashion, exuding character to express one's story with a calm sense of inner peace and a touch of glamour.

I pride my fashion label as being a sustainable brand to inspire others to innovate,  lead, and enhance our world, to provide best-value products and services to global customers. To make a difference through  branding, which transcends fashion trends and market changes, to remain relevant and steadfast holistically.  To promote quality of life through greater appreciation of beauty in all its forms, for my business partners,customers, employees, community and country.

I am a mother and doting grandmother, living life to the fullest, with a determined attitude to accept nothing less.   I love the wonderment of fashion and all the trimmings worn to compliment the choice of style which makes one feel gorgeous in the every day, but especially for those moments when it is your time to shine and let the world know your purpose.  Mine is creativity to stir the senses, matched with a touch of allure and love.   My invitation to you is to spoil yourself, with fashion which uplifts you,  while simultaneously giving back to the world with slow fashion, taking time to select a design, which not only promotes all that you are on so many levels, but promotes a healthy planet.
